DELAND, Fla. — Billie M. Mucci, age 80, formerly of Conneaut, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, in Deland, Fla.
Billie was born March 20, 1929, in Hartshorne, Okla., the daughter of William and Inez (Brooks) Hart. After high school, Billie worked at Tinker Air Force Base, where she later met and married her husband, Al on July 19, 1945, in Alliance, Neb. Billie and Al moved back to the Conneaut area, where after a short time they opened their family business, Al's Motors. Billie spent alot of time working alongside her husband and was very involved in every aspect of their many businesses.
Billie enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She especially loved playing cards and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert in 1977; and a sister, Tyjauna Smith.
Billie is survived by two sons, Albert and Pam (St. Angelo) Mucci of Conneaut, Ohio and John and Kelly (DeGennaro) Mucci of Deland, Fla.; brother-in-law, Ted Smith of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Antonette Mucci of Erie, Pa.; grandchildren, Mitchell and Amanda Mucci of Melbourne, Fla., Matthew Mucci, A.J. Mucci and Alexandria Mucci, all of Deland, Fla., Melanie Mucci of Palm City, Fla., Marcie and Todd Samson of Palm City, Fla., Heather Mucci of Conneaut, Ohio, Steve Severino, Charlie and Lyndsay Severino of Ashtabula, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Alexis Vigrass and Aleia Samson of Palm City, Fla. and Ava Severino of Ashtabula; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Monday, July 6th, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Chapel, Route 20, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Father Raymond Thomas of St. Mary/ St. Francis Parish, as celebrant.
Arrangements are being handled by the RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.
