CONNEAUT — Carol Ann Dimon, age 66, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, August 11, 2012.
The daughter of Robert and Helen (Pedary) Burns, she was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Jan. 31, 1946. On June 6, 1980, she married the love of her life, Dennis Dimon, and together they celebrated thirty-two years of happiness. Dennis and Carol enjoyed telling their friends how they met each other because of a canceled fishing trip. Their marriage was one of love, faith and laughter.
Carol had been a faithful member of Conneaut Church of Christ for many years. She enjoyed the fellowship and many kindnesses extended to her over the years.
Carol enjoyed making wood crafts with Dennis and together they attended many local craft fairs; her personality bears were her specialty. Over the years many people have collected them and given them to friends.
An excellent cook, her chicken paprikash was second to none. She also liked to try different recipes; she and Dennis would go out to eat and she would find something she really enjoyed and return home to try and duplicate that dish. She succeeded many times and was always pleased with the results.
Carol’s passion was fishing; she would go fishing at the drop of the hat. Her favorite saying was,” A bad fishing is better than a good day at work”.
Carol will be remembered for her welcoming ways, her sense of humor, her unconditional love for her family and friends and her belief and faith in her personal Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Dimon; her sons, Paul Dimon of Waukegan, Ill., and Leonard Pollak of Lake Tahoe, Nev.; her sister, Helen McCamman of Reading, Pa.; and her beloved dogs, “Rex and Freckles.”
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Burns; and her mother and stepfather, Helen and Bill Becay.
Memorial Services will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, August 16th, at Conneaut Church of Christ, 448 W. Main Road, Conneaut, Ohio, with Tim Kraus, minister, officiating.
