ASHTABULA —
David Robert Gladden, age 40, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic with his loving family at his side.
The child of Eugene H. and Beatrice (Donley) Gladden, David was born in Margate, Fla. on April 22, 1972. David spent his time living and working between Florida and Ohio.
He was last employed with John Paul and Associates as a Fire Sprinkler Technician in Biloxi, Miss. A free spirit, David had “Peter Pan” impishness; whenever he was around you knew you were going to have a fun time.
He enjoyed fishing and horticulture and being with his family and friends. Sitting in a boat or standing at the edge of the stream he enjoyed the solitude and quietness while fishing. In his quest to grow the best plants, whether it was flower or vegetable or the occasional weed; David was always proud of his efforts in the garden.
David loved his children; Anthony, William and Autumn. He was so proud of them and all that they were doing in their lives. David will be remembered for his great joy of living, never worrying about tomorrow and forgetting about the past of yesterday; his love for his children, his family and friends; always was waiting for the next great adventure in his life.
He is survived by his children. Anthony, William and Autumn Gladden of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; his mother, Beatrice Gladden of Ashtabula; his siblings, James Gladden of Raleigh, N.C., Gina (Don) Woodcock of Biloxi, Miss. and Stephanie (Nick) Hopkins-Purcell and Mark (Jennifer) Gladden, both of Ashtabula; and the mother of his children, Dianna Montgomery, also of Fort Lauderdale; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Harry Morrison.
It was the wish of David that no service or visitation be observed. His family would like you to hold close in your heart the memories that you shared with David.
