CHARDON - - The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild is presenting it's summer elementary workshop this weekend, and it's definitely not the pits.
"James and the Giant Peach" runs today at 7 p.m. and noon Saturday.
All tickets are $5 and are available at the door or by calling 440-286-2255 or by visiting www.geaugatheater.org.
Elementary school students will perform all parts including James (Luke Meaney), Miss Spider (Emily Bender), Ladybug (Emily Rose Staffileno), Grasshopper (Ray Bender), Earthworm (Jackson Meaney) and Centipede (Jill Allenby and Gwen Mack.)
It is the story of a curious orphan forced to live with two cruel aunts. The play is directed by Angela Miloro and produced by Kate Comella. It is presented in association with Samuel French.
The summer elementary workshop will also present Disney's "Jungle Book Kids" July 19-21 and a teen musical, "Footloose," July 26-29.
