Common Pleas Court

• Charles E. Williams, 22, 414 W. 29th St. Downstairs, Ashtabula, appeared May 22 for his sentencing hearing on the previous conviction of aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony. He was sentenced to 12 months in prison with 10 days jail time credited and will be subject to a period of post-release control. He must pay the court costs.

• Kyle J. Dorhn, 28, 2420 Windsor Road, Orwell, pleaded guilty May 22 to the charge of receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. A pre-sentence investigation report was ordered by the court and his bond was continued at $5,000.

• Jason C. Barnard, 31, 801 Middle Road, Conneaut, pleaded not guilty May 22 to the charges of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; and possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. His bond was modified to $15,000.

• Shannon D. Sexton, 39, 6213 McNutt Ave. #6, Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty May 26 to the charges of possession of drugs and tapering with drugs, both third-degree felonies. His bond was continued at $5,000.

• Jimmie Lee Ruth, 55, 419 W. 29th St., Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty May 27 to the charge of resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor. His bond was continued at $15,000.

• Timothy R. Conley, 48, 4250 Hayes Road, Dorset, appeared May 27 for his sentencing hearing on the previous conviction of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. He was fined $250 plus court costs and must complete two years of basic supervised probation. He was ordered by the court to pay the court costs plus $500 in restitution.
