Arts center hosts weekend of music


ASHTABULA — The Ashtabula Arts Center will fill the weekend with two musical events.

The Good Life Singers present their annual holiday concert “ Christmas on Main Street” today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Acoustic Tapestry will feature the acoustic entertainment of Dr. Martin Crombie Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Good Life Singers perform many holiday favorites including “Caroling, Caroling,” “Christmas In A Small Town,” “Home For The Holidays,” “It's The Most Wonderful Time Of Year,” “Joy To The World,” “Let It Snow,” “Over The River & Through The Woods,” “Silver Bells,” “St. Nick At Night” and more. Tickets are $9.

Dr. Martin Crombie who will be performing a coffeehouse event on Sunday is a native of Ashtabula. Crombie picked up the guitar in high school and music became a steady hobby that expanded into open mic and other local venue performances.

He plays a variety of music, including acoustic singer/songwriters from the 60s through today together with a mix of acoustic rock and blues. Joining him will be Dan Herbst on harmonica, Kathy Lynch, harmony vocals and Petr Wiese, piano.

Tickets for the Sunday afternoon event are $10 per person.
