He currently serves as faculty advisor to the USM Guitar Society and chair of the guitar division for the Mississippi Music Teachers' Association.
Ciraldo holds a bachelor of music from Indiana University, where he studied with Ernesto Bitetti and Luis Zea. He also holds a master of music with performance honors from the New England Conservatory of Music, where he studied with David Leisner and Eliot Fisk. He holds a doctor of musical arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied with Adam Holzman and received the Freeman Fellowship. His most recent research involved the “1928 Manuscript” of the Villa-Lobos guitar studies.
Ciraldo will be joined in the performance of one piece by local pianist, Dr. Timothy Kalil. A meet the artist reception in the Guild Room will immediately follow the concert.
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is located at 4901 Main Ave.
