The Lakeside High Spring Concert for Senior Citizens The Lakeside High Concert Band, Women's Choir and Concert Choir presented a Spring Concert for Senior Citizens Wednesday Mar. 17, 2010 at the LHS Auditorium.

Earle Heusinger conducted the Concert Band as they played "Burma Patrol" by Ohioan Karl L. King, "Celebration and Song" by Robert Sheldon, "Irish Tune from Country Derry" by Grainger, and "Rampage" by Todd Stalter.

Andrea Tredent directed the Women's Choir and the Concert Choir. The Women's Choir sang the Ruth Artman arrangement of "Go `Way from My Window", "Willow Song" by Ralph Vaughn Williams, "Deo Decamus Gratias" by Victor Johnson.

The Concert Choir sang "Adoramus Te" by Palestina, "Everytime I Feel the Spirit" by William Dawson and "For the Beauty of the Earth" by John Rutter.

Refreshments were served after the concert.

2010 Law Enforcement Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics The 2010 Law Enforcement Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympics was held Saturday Feb. 27, 2010 on Breakwater Beach at Geneva State Park in Ohio. About 400 plungers participated in the chilly event.

Lakeside High School Black History Month Assembly A Black History Month Assembly was held Friday February 12, 2010 at the Lakeside High School auditorium on Sanborn Road in Saybrook. The guest speakers were NBA Cleveland Cavaliers basketball great Michael "Campy" Russell, Cleveland Municipal Judge Michael Ryan, vocalist Mae Salters, Erie Bay Hawks basketball forward Jarvis Gunter and Bay Hawks group sales manager Sean Peebles. Lee Mitt Company president Sally Bradley was the mistress of ceremonies.
