Mr. and Mrs. Salvadore J. “Sam” Madonna of Conneaut are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Their children are having a card party for them. Greetings may be sent to the couple at 1301 Lake Road, Conneaut.

Sam and Barbara R. (Arp) were married Aug. 2, 1947, at St. Mary Church in Conneaut.

The couple’s children and their spouses include Michael and Chris Madonna of Hoschton, Ga.; Cathy and Robert Workman of Tucson, Ariz.; Lori and Jim Stevens of Conneaut. They also have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Madonna retired from Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad in 1980. He is a member of U.S. Navy Landing Ship Tank Association, Knights of Columbus and American Legion. Mrs. Madonna is a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
