Michael and Deborah Penna of Ashtabula announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Michele Penna, to Seth Erick Cheney, son of Morris and Judy Cheney of Jamestown, N.Y.

The bride-to-be graduated from Geneva High School in 2002 and received her degree from Duquesne University in 2006. She is employed as a procurement planner for Becton Dickinson and Co.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Frewsburg High School and Allegheny College. He is employed as a senior project manager with KCI Technologies Inc.

The couple reside in New Freedom, Pa.

A closed wedding and reception will take place May 19 at Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel.
