In celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Raymond W. Kovacs of Ashtabula renewed their vows in a traditional Latin Mass celebrated by the Rev. Denis Bouchard, Fraternity of St. Peter, Aug. 25 at Queen of the Holy Rosary in Vienna.

Raymond and Lita A. (Lignetta) were married in a traditional Latin Mass Aug. 25, 1962, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ashtabula.

The couple’s children and their spouses are Raymond A. and Christy, Kevin J. and Darlene Kovacs, all of Ashtabula. They also have six grandchildren.

Mr. Kovacs retired as quality technician with Iten Industries in 2003. Mrs. Kovacs retired as a bank teller for First Merit in 2000. They are members of Queen of the Holy Rosary. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and she is also a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
