Pethtel-Lagoni

Meghan Pethtel became the bride of Michael Lagoni in a double-ring wedding June 9, 2012, on the lakeside terrace of the Shoreby Club Historic Mansion in Bratenahl. Mark Collier officiated the ceremony. Music was provided by violinist Mary Beth Ions, along with her accompanying cellist. Reader was Kevin Stone of Cambridge, Mass.

The bride was escorted by her father, Bill Pethtel of Madison, and given away by both her father and her mother, Judi Soslowicz of Geneva. The mother of the groom is Diane Westcott of Ashtabula. Father of the groom is Don Lagoni, who resides in Mentor with his wife, Sue Lagoni.

For her wedding the bride chose an elegant A-line silhouette gown with sweetheart bodice. Floral lace with embroidered crystal accented the lace overlay which extended to a chapel-length train.

The groom was dressed in classic modern fit tuxedo by Vera Wang from the BLACK collection with black vest and matching bow tie.

Serving as honor attendants were Lauren Caimi of Geneva, sister of the bride, and Kristen San Marco of Cambridge. Bridesmaids included Michelle Zeglen of Lakewood; Maria Westcott and Sabrina Luce, both of Ashtabula, and Renee Lagoni of Mentor, sisters of the groom.

Best man was Don Lagoni of Ashtabula, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Devin Pethtel of Cleveland, brother of the bride; Joel Hamilton of Rockhill, S.C.; Nick Colby of Knoxville, Tenn.; Justin Dailey of Cleveland; and Michael Quinn of Detroit, Mich. The ushers were David Mayland of Miami, Fla., and Chad Armstrong of Lakewood.

The bride is the granddaughter of Alice Grippi of Geneva; Margaret Grippi and the late Ben Grippi of Painesville; and the late Flow and Roy Pethtel of Madison. The groom is the grandson of Charlotte and Donald Lagoni of Ashtabula and Claudette and Russell Westcott of Kingsville.

Both the ceremony and reception were at the Shoreby Club Historic Mansion.

The newlyweds honeymooned at The Four Seasons Resort in Maui.

The bride, a 2003 graduate of Geneva High School, has a bachelor of arts degree in marketing and finance from Baldwin-Wallace College. She is a marketing product manager at Amazon.com in Seattle, Wash. The groom graduated from Edgewood Senior High School in 2002 and received his bachelor of arts degree in business from Baldwin-Wallace College and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School. He is a senior vendor manager at Amazon.com in Seattle.
