Emily Marie Artman and Jose Rafael Rodriguez II announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Dean Artman of North Kingsville and Dan and Julie Smallwood of Kingsville, received her bachelor of science degree from Kent State University in 2011. She is employed at Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Richmond Heights, and Kay’s Place Family Restaurant. Her grandparents are Glenna Rodebaugh and the late Joseph Rodebaugh, Brenda Artman and the late Donald Artman.

Her fiancé, son of Jose and Ann Rodriguez of North Kingsville, graduated from Ohio Technical College in 2008 and is a student at Kent State University, Ashtabula. He was formerly employed at Esab Welding & Cutting. His grandparents are Pauletta Nelson, Bob and Karen Legg, Maria Rodriguez and the late Fernando Rodriguez.

The couple will wed in a closed ceremony May 4, 2013, at Kingsville Presbyterian Church. A closed reception will be at Norman D. Banquet Hall.
