Thiery-Huggins

Kathryn Elizabeth Thiery became the bride of Andrew Erickson Huggins in a Catholic Mass 12:30 p.m. April 14, 2012, at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lorain.

Parents of the couple are John and Carolyn Thiery of Lorain and Peter and Susan Huggins of Ashtabula.

Serving as maid of honor was Christina Jelic of Parma. Bridesmaids included Linda Guido of Daytona Beach, Fla.; Susanne Grilli of Cleveland; Dey Diaz of Loveland; Rita Kapusinski of Copley; Abby Costilow of Cleveland Heights. Best man was Doug Kapusinski of Copley. Groomsmen were Dave Pawlowski of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Jim Campagne of Akron; Nic Johnson of Minneapolis, Minn.; Zak Knott of Brookfield, Ill.; and Zach Huggins of Sydney, Australia.

Among those receiving flowers were John and Dolores Spontik of Lorain, the bride’s grandparents; and Hildegarde Huggins of Ashtabula, the groom’s grandmother.

A reception for the couple was held at German’s Villa in Vermilion.

The bride, a graduate of Clearview High School, received her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from University of Akron and a master’s degree in public health nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. She is a registered, licensed dietitian and certified lactation counselor. The groom graduated from St. John High School and received his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Bradley University. He is an industrial engineer.

The couple reside in Ashtabula.
