KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP — An unknown driver apparently lost control of his car, drove across a lawn and into a pond shortly before mightnight Thursday. on Fox Road.

Crews from area fire departments were called to the scene as well as the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Rescue personnel secured a line to the car and to a tree near the front of the road, apparently trying to stop the partially submerged vehicle from going all of the way into the pond.

Authorities ran a license plate check and had a suspect in mind early Friday.

Fire personnel said they do not believe anyone ended up in the pond.
