ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP —
A Plymouth Township man was killed early Saturday morning when the car he was driving drove off the left side of Route 11 around 1:39 a.m., according to Ashtabula County Coroner’s Investigator Jim Baehr and an Ohio Highway Patrol press release.
Denver Lee Bramer Jr. 21, of Plymouth Township, was ejected from his vehicle and passenger Breanna N. Clay, 22, of Plymouth Township, was injured during the crash.

Ashtabula man drowns saving grandson
Ashtabula CPA Paul Demshar drowned shortly after noon today saving his 10-year-old grandson, who got pulled under water in a rip current, while swimming in Jacksonville, Fla.
Drivers on Route 534 watched in horror as a speeding car launched over an embankment Wednesday and crashed into a tree, killing a Ashtabula man and ejecting his 2-year-old son, Ashtabula County Coroner’s Investigator Rich Mongell said.
Police have arrested a suspect after a substitute teacher's aide was shot while walking near McKinley Elementary School in Erie, Pa., this morning. The aide had taken a break outside when she was shot. Her condition is not known. The school is no longer on lockdown as worried parents who went to the school are allowed to take their children home.
