APL to hold $10 cat sale

Event at Green Road shelter May 23 and 24

MARGIE PAGE: Bad news for cats at the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League.

It turns out the shelter has way more cats than it can handle, or else the shelter’s cat population will have to be thinned through selective euthanasia.

Two special cats, Money and Monopoly, are brothers and shelter workers hope someone will take the pair of them because they are so attached to each other.

In an effort to save 25 adoptable cats, the APL will hold a two-day cat sale May 23 and 24 at the shelter on Green Road. Cats will be $10 each, which includes vaccinations and spay/neuter.

The shelter takes a huge financial hit when it has these adoption sales, so if you can adopt a cat at the full price, let them know.

For more information, call the shelter at (440) 224-1222.
