MARGIE PAGE: Don't forget to Stamp Out Hunger this Saturday by putting non-perishable food items in or near your mailbox for your letter carrier to collect.
Carriers collected a record 73.1 million pounds of food last year, USPS reports, as letter carriers in 10,000 cities and towns in all 50 states collected canned goods and other non-perishable food.
Local letter carriers will collect the food and distribute the items to local food banks.
No expired food or glass containers, please.
