SPAYGEHTTI DINNER for the APL

Event this Saturday

The APL will hold its third annual ‘Spayghetti’ Dinner 3 to 7 p.m. May 9 at the Lenox Community Center, 2509 Lenox-New Lyme Road.

The dinner will include spaghetti with marinara sauce. The meal includes meatballs or mushrooms, salad, garlic breadsticks, dessert and beverages. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3.50 for children. Children under 4 years old eat free. A silent auction, 50/50 raffle and door-prize giveaways will be held.

“Every dollar earned will go right toward the spay-neuter program,” Spayghetti chairwoman Marti McDowell said.

Carr estimates each cat costs the shelter $150 in veterinary fees. Dogs can cost as much as $200 each to alter and vaccinate.

McDowell said the dinner now will be held semiannually: once in the spring and once in the fall.
