Kirsten Prout, a home-schooled student from Middlefield, is the winner of the 2010 Tri-County Spelling Bee which took place this morning at the Kirtland Public Library. Ashtabula County’s Katie Paskey, an eighth-grader at Grand Valley Middle School, was runner-up in the contest that went 10 rounds. See Friday's newspaper for the story.
