THIS UNDATED, hand-colored photograph by the late Ladimir Kubichek Sr. of Sheffield Township captured the Rock Creek covered bridge, the county’s only two-lane wooden bridge at that time, in its final days. Built in 1832, the bridge continued to carry traffic over Rock Creek until 1948.
