THE LONGEST covered bridge in the nation will be dedicated and named Aug. 26 during a ceremony planned for the southeast end. Workers still have some siding to install on that end of the bridge. Located on State Road, the bridge not open to traffic until after paving work and guard-rail construction are completed at the site, probably late September.
