MATT EDDY, 31, drives his wheelchair west on Route 20 in Saybrook Township Wednesday morning. Ron Steenbruggen, his respiratory therapist keeps an eye on Eddy, who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Eddy is making a coast-to-coast trip to increase awareness of the seriously disabled and raise money for a 10-unit apartment to give seriously disabled persons like himself more freedom and a higher quality of life.
